Under the watchful eye of MC Julie Brown several events will be taking place in the Concert Hall over the course of the evening.

A native of Toronto and a graduate of the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, Julie Brown has been a part of the CKWS news team since 2003. After working as a Videographer for Rogers Television and CHEX-TV, Julie joined CKWS in 2003. She has served many roles at the station, including hosting duties on the 5:30 show, Co-Anchor of Newswatch at 6pm, 11pm and First at 5:30pm.

She helped launch the CKWS Morning Show in 2016, and serves at Co-Host and Anchor. She also Anchors CKWS at Noon.

Julie has covered numerous community events, including the Royal Visit to Prince Edward County.

An active member of the community, Julie supports numerous charities, including the CNIB and the KFLA United Way’s Success by Six program. She is a proud Paul Harris Fellow. Her passions include reading, cooking, working out and spending time with her husband, two young daughters and friends.
